Kim Novak was created in Chicago, On February 13 Illinois, 1933 with the birth name of Marilyn Pauline Novak. She was the daughter of a previous teacher flipped transit clerk and his wife, a former teacher also. Throughout elementary and high school, Kim did not go along well with teachers. She even accepted that she didn’t like being told how to proceed and when to take action. Her first job, after senior high school, was modeling young fashions for a local division store. Kim, later, won a scholarship or grant in a modeling college and continued to model part time. Kim later proved helpful odd jobs as an elevator operator, sales clerk, and a dental care assistant.
The jobs never seemed to workout so she dropped back again on modeling, the one job she does well. After a stint on the road as a spokesperson for an appliance company, Kim went to LA and try her luck at modeling there. Ultimately, her modeling arrived her an uncredited role in the RKO production from the French Line (1953). The role encompassed only being seen on a set of stairs. Later a talent agent organized for a display screen test with Columbia Pictures and won a little six-month agreement.
In truth, a few of the studio hierarchy thought that Kim was Columbia’s response to Marilyn Monroe. Kim, who was going by her own name of Marilyn still, was originally going to be called “Kit Marlowe”. She wanted to at least keep her family name of Novak, therefore the young celebrity and studio staff settled on Kim Novak.
By the early 1960s, the 20-something Novak’s superstar was beginning to fade. Although she was young still, she was being overpowered by the rise of new celebrities or stars that were remodeling their status within the film community. With some more nondescript movies between 1960 and 1964, she arrived the role of “Mildred Rogers” in the remake of Of Human Bondage (1964). The film debuted to good reviews.

While filming The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders (1965), she got a romance with co-star Richard Johnson, whom she married, or however the marriage failed the next, although they stay friends. Kim stepped away from the video cameras for some time, returning in 1968 to star in The Legend of Lylah Clare (1968). It was a resounding flop, the most severe of her career perhaps. However, after that, Kim, basically, could pick what projects she wanted.
However, unlike a lot of her Hollywood peers, Kim has managed stability in her personal life. Since 1976, she has been wedded to Dr. Robert Malloy, who visited medical college with Martin Dinnes coincidentally, the hubby of Kim’s friend, Tippi Hedren. She now lives on the ranch in Oregon and can be an accomplished designer who expresses herself in essential oil paintings and sculptures. Kim and her husband raise lamas and horses, and ski and go canoeing frequently.
Kim started writing an autobiography in 2000, but it was lost when her house captured burning, destroying the computer that included her only draft. In a 2007 interview, the still-stunning Novak said she’d consider time for performing “if the right thing arrived”. Kim still looks amazing, at The Egyptian Theater July2010 for the Sony Release of The KIM NOVAK COLLECTION on DVD.
